The Big Reveal

The day finally had arrived. The day we were going to "see" our second child, confirm that he/she was healthy and growing well and discover if they were a boy or a girl. Dustin and I were both very eager and Everett just couldn't contain his excitement.

 From the beginning Dustin had been saying the baby was a girl. From the beginning I have wavered back and forth not really sure. And Everett had always smiled happily at being asked if he wanted a brother or a sister. We finally headed to the doctor's and were called back for our ultrasound. The ultrasound tech took her time taking measurements and checking the baby's development. 

At one point Dustin and I thought we got a sneak peek but she quickly moved on. Once she did what she had to do she asked if we were ready to know. Of course we said yes. She moved in for the necessary shot and our sneak peek was confirmed. We are having a little boy!

We are really excited though we will have to stop thinking pink and rethink blue. I love knowing that Everett will have someone to wrestle and play sports with. Not that a girl couldn't but it's definitely a different relationship with a brother. Growing up with four brothers has given me an up close view of what to expect. It's going to be wild but so fun. Dustin will have two sons to take out on guy trips and do manly things with and I have two little men to love on.

Now we get to prepare for our second little man which should be fairly easy since we just had a little boy seven months ago. :) It's nice to know that we don't need anything at all. We just have to put the room together which we'll do soon. We will also have to get down to business and come up with a name. We don't really have one that we are really set on but I know we'll find the right one.

Until then we are just anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new member of our family. Can't wait to meet you little man!
