Everett's Big News

The last post was all about catching up on the past few months of Everett's life. And while he has definitely been a busy boy I neglected to mention the biggest event that has occurred in his little life. Our little man discovered that he is going to be a big brother!

Our second little blessing is due on August 28th which is also ten days after Everett's first birthday. It's very possible that his new sibling will be his birthday present. Dustin and I found out we were expecting again on Dustin's birthday. The initial reaction was shock followed by feeling overwhelmed but now that the news has set in we are very excited. We know that having two babies in one year is crazy and that it's going to be a hectic first few years but we love knowing that our children will be so close together. The idea that Everett will have a little playmate so soon is very cool and as they get older will make family outings and vacations so much fun.

Baby #2 at 11 1/2 weeks

 I am now currently in my second trimester. This pregnancy is flying by and while I have dealt with feeling tired and morning sickness like I did with Everett, it seems a lot less stressful this time. I'm sure that knowing what to expect and being at home instead of working is helping. We had our first doctor's appointment and everything is going very well. The baby looks perfect and we're hoping and praying for another healthy pregnancy and baby. We are also looking forward to finding out whether this little baby is a boy or a girl. We'll find out in the beginning of April. We'd love a little girl but I also know that having a brother so close in age to Everett will be a lot of fun. Either way we'll be happy and are just hoping for a healthy baby.

We're so excited about our family growing and can't wait to meet this little one! But before he or she arrives we have so much to do. I'm sure the next six months will fly by!
