Easter 2013

Happy Easter! Though belated Easter is one holiday worth celebrating daily. I am so thankful for the sacrifice God made when He gave himself to die on the cross for our sins. I am in awe of the grace and love of a God so holy and righteous, He would die for the sins of the undeserving. The perfect sacrifice which gives us the chance to have eternal life with Him one day and the opportunity to commune with Him daily now. The sacrifice of His death and the victory of His resurrection are so worth rejoicing over!

The other thing I'm thankful for? Family. This Easter, following our morning church service, we spent Easter at Dustin's parent's house. It was a great time with family and we were able to get quite a few pictures. Dustin's Grandpa has been in town for a few weeks and it was nice to spend the Easter holiday with him.

My mother-in-law made my nephew and niece Easter baskets and she also made our baby one. It was so cute! I can't wait until next Easter when our baby will be here to join in on all the fun. :)

"Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightening, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. But the angel answered and said to the women, "do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

He is risen!
