2013 we were able to enjoy all of the holidays with Everett for the first time. We had his first trick or treat, his first Thanksgiving, first Christmas and New Year's. First up was Halloween. Everett's first Halloween costume was a little gnome. Being that he was
only two and half months old we knew he would never wear his costume
again so we didn't want to put out a lot of money for it. We chose this
because it was different, cute and a very inexpensive DIY costume. We used a flannel shirt and pants he already had and felt, a pipe cleaner and a talented dad created the rest.

We don't celebrate the spookiness of Halloween but we see no harm in the
fun of innocent, non-evil costumes and trick or treating in a safe
place. This past year we joined my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece
and nephew for something called "Trunk or Treat" at a local church. It's
geared towards kids, is a non-spooky zone and is fun and age
appropriate.

Everett, well, sleeping. |
Everett didn't get too much out of it but we enjoyed it and I'm pretty sure his cousins were excited about him tagging along! Next year will be a little more interactive I'm sure.
