Dustin was recently able to take a week off work and while we didn’t do too much one fun thing we did do was visit Lake Tobias. Lake Tobias is a wildlife park that is home to all sorts of animals some of which are “wild” on a large piece of land. These animals are visited by riding a safari tour which is very cool because they come right up to the open air bus.
Our animal adventure started with the safari tour.
The boys loved seeing all of the animals and the ride was punctuated with “oohs!” from Everett and even our little wiggle worm Reid was still enough to enjoy experiencing it too.
While Everett loved seeing the animals he wasn’t too sure about them when they came up close!
Reid acted as though it was no big deal at all.
After our safari tour and our picnic lunch we visited the rest of the animals.
We saw bears, a tiger and lion, alligators, zebra, geese and ostriches.
We also saw goats in the petting zoo.
Everett did really well considering the fact that the full grown goats were bigger than he was but he did stay close to me and adorably, held on to my skirt. He did like the baby goats which were too cute.
Reid was able to pet the goats too.
The petting zoo was a lot of fun and we spent quite a bit of time in there.
It was a great, fun family day!
